Wow. What an akward position to lift that thing... they don't call it the beast for nothing! What is it, 60lbs? Tip #1- don't drink beer before installing this motor.
Gotta go eat my wheaties...
attempt #2 in a minute, then...WHEELIES!!!!! (after more beer, of course)

just 3 bolts holds this thing in place?!!!!! Is that right??

I dont know about the Beast motor, but the PQ motors have an attatched steel "L" bracket on the motor which uses the larger bolt to mount it to the housing. This is the bolt on the forward"front" side of the axle, mounts from the inside, not the outside like the three smaller bolts. If you need this bracket, I have an extra I can send to you. I have seen other posts referring to this bracket, so I would imagine theres a place to bolt it onto your motor. I will take a picture in a little while for you...give me a few minutes

Sorry, I lied...the motor(old stock one) I have laying in the garage doesn't have the seperate L bracket, it has the 4th larger hole cast into the aluminum mounting flange/ring.

motor is on. heh heh heh heh...

The ring bracket off the original motor did not fit the new motor.

It just slid right in and the three bolts secure it in place

I remember people mentioning a L bracket for extra support... I'll look it up and get one, I think I can get it from my CC dealer and it's only $10 or so.

It's killing me. Can't open the garage since it wakes my daughter. Can't get the cart out without opening the garage... maybe I'll try opening the garage manually...
gotta get out there and burn the nipples off the tires!
