Talking Need For Speed, Motor and Upgrade Results

Anyone have before and after readings on their motor replacements?

Here's mine:

stock motor, 400amp controller, 48v = 16.1mph top speed

installed D395 (Beast) motor = 20.8mph top speed

(no windshield)

coming soon, 6:1 gears... top speed?!!!!

Congrats!!! Sounds Great!! Isn't that a great feeling when all of the hard work you did comes out with great results?!?!?

Can't wait to hear what the gear change does.

My cart upgrade was as follows:
Stock controller (250 Amp), stock motor (GE D377), stock solenoid, stock cables = 19 MPH.

480 Amp Controller, New brushes in motor (same GE D377), HD Solenoid, 4 ga cables = 24 MPH and more torque!!

I love golf carts!!

Good Job Extractor!!!!

My Precedent with windshield in all cases,
stock with 22" tires stock on speed code 3 = 18.9mph
stock with 22" tires stock on speed code 4 = 20.3mph
with $300 PQ motor & 22" tires without wires or controller upgrade = 26.5 normal and 27.8 best WOT

Oops...correction, I have a 500amp controller (signature is correct)

Butterface- impressive results with just new brushings on a stock motor! It didn't feel like the new controller did much with top speed but noticeable torque increase.

Scuba- I'm thinking PQ may find a little extra ummmph in my motor. I'll see what the gears do first.

Seems like I'm still playing catch-up with both your speeds even with all the mods in my signature! hmmmm.

Yeah my first thought was that your stock speed seemed a little slow..but im not sure. I know Butterfaces results to be true because we race around the block quite often and GPS all new upgrades...come to think of it, Im not sure whos cart is quicker anymore

Did I mention my batteries are just over 6 years old?! That may have something to do with it... at least I hope since everything else is new!

You're starting fresh with everything else and you didn't replace 6 year old batteries???? Time to dust off the wallet once again!

Wow, that's awesome.
I'm new to the site and just bought an 05 Precedent.
It's getting lifted and 22's.

It's tuned for 17mph (code 2 I guess ?)

Can you tell me more about tuning these and that PQ motor you got?
That sounds like the best $300 spent!!

Thanks
Jay

JUST DO IT!!! look up Plum Quick on the net and spend the $300. You will see 22 MPH and much better power as it is stock..Scuba has 22" tires and gets about 24 or 25 I believe he said...Later if thats not enough, you can upgrade the controlller and cables for more money and even more power and speeed
