Default Jakes Lift and 3x5 Offset

Folks - I am new to carts and wanting to lift a Precedent using a Jakes 6" lift but it says you need wheels with a 3x5 offset. This seems to limit my choice of wheels; am I missing something? Is the 3x5 offset a must?

My other option is a 5" lift from "big buggies" (made in their shop) but I am concerned based on all the feedback on this site. Seems like only 2 lifts are preferred, All-Sports or Jakes.

I would love the advice or feedback.

Thanks,
