Default Flash needs HELP

I,m sure you guys have answered this 100 times... I just put batts in 89 clubcar... Nothing sizzles, and nothing melted. Does this mean I have it wired correctly? When I hit the gas, i can hear a click, but thats all it does. Also, the reverse buzzer doesn't sound.. Do I have something crossed, or do I need to clean all the terminals? Help!! The controller is a fan type.

The controller is a fan type? Please explain. If it ran before and all you did was change the batteries then yes, chances are you didn't wire it right. Double and tripple check your wiring. Best thing to do is take a break from it....then get a fresh look at it.

No, It did not run. Previos owner thought controller is bad. Sat for three years, and he never worked on it..Sold to me for $200. I bought new bats for it today.. Can hear solenoid click when key is on, and throttle is hit. I understand its an old style switch, looks like a half fan with the wires bolted on, and the contact runs along the different plates. If the solenoid clicks, does that mean I have the wire correct, no melting or sizzling?

the thing that looks like a pie, that moves when you press the throttle..All the wires go to it.

That would be a "V Glide" type throttle. It might not have a controller. It should have 1 solenoid and a series of resistors. 89 resistor cart maybe. My 88 should be identical.

Just because your not frying wires doesn't mean its wired right. Big cables or small wires going to the V-glide?

Yes.. Heres what i know...the V glide is actually broken, and one of the brass things is melted.. I wiggled it, and the thing, the closest piece of plastic to the wire broke off in my hand..in other words, the wire in the v glide, that connects to the thing that rides on the brass. A local club car mechanic told me to check the solenoid, which does work.. He then told me to take something metal, carefully lay it across the solenoid bolts, short it, and press the throttle...Wheels move? No... Then, it could be v glide, or motor... He then asked me if i plugged the charger in.. Yes, and it worked..He thinks I have the wiring right... I want to bounce off you guys, see what you think.

With a broken VGlide wiper arm, you can have the best solenoid in the world...and it wouldnt matter. Fix the VGlide first, then see what happens next...remember K.I.S.S. keep it simple silly. One thing at a time
