Extractor,
You will have the best of both worlds...once those gears are in. Torque and speed!

I like this set up you got what is the top speed now and how much gain are you expecting with gears? Could you also post back about the how much torque loss you got from the gears . I'm thinking about going the same route as you on the motor and controller and things and was thinking about gears also. I dont care about doing wheelies just want speed and to be able to still haul 4 people on the cart. Thanks

My 1/2 cent, I don't think he'll loose much torque...it'll be bada$$ and probably run about 28mph.

I posted my current gps speed on another post but if I remember correctly it was 20.8mph on stock gears. I am hoping for 30mph. I need to go to NAPA to get my bearings pressed off (hmmmm, should do that now) then put the new gears in and go back to NAPA to press the bearings back on. Need a new seal where the case comes back together and some oil (nice surprise when I opened up the case!) I'll post those final numbers hopefully this coming week but if you've read this far you know not to hold you're breath (trying to close on a house this week so I'll be busy).

Hey.........
I bought a wheelie cart today on Craigslist
It did lots of wheelies...... All were of the roll back and slam forward type.... But those count! Right? They can be sustained for long distances by putting 2 large adults in the rear seat. Then roll back and slam forward!!! Well, I got this wheelie cart dirt cheap.....Seems it just couldn't do any more wheelies...... Now we see why Seems all the teeth are knocked out of the spidder gears Imagine that True story / real pics. Careful boys The Scrapman Cometh
