Default Re: Maximum System/Battery Current?

This is ONLY APPROXIMATE because I am using a WW2 surplus analog meter rated for 6 volt, 8 volt, 12 volt, 24 volt and 36 volts calabrated best possible but unknown accuracy.
On my factory stock 48 volt 3.2 motor and 225 amp Curtis controller and 6 Trojans T-875 I get under load 205 Amp draw. In most cases your controller rating will be JUST ABOVE MAX draw from what I have seen? I am not at this time running heavier wiring and stock solenoid and F& R switch.
Hope this will be of some help for you.

Very good point about "your controller rating will be Just Above Max draw", which means that if you have a controller with the ability to only deliver 200 amps you shouldn't see 300 amps... if you have an Alltrax 400 amp then you could...

So if you have a stock motor and want to really see what it can really draw maybe you should ask for anyone with at least a 400 amp capable controller to contribute... or someone with an upgraded motor and controller to see what amps are drawn... just a thought...

Yup Scuba, this is one of the things the request 'should' bring when folks weigh in; I just didn't want to preface with specifics, and see what the data shows with different Bats/Ctrl/Motors etc.
