the resistor coils are supposed to disapate heat while at slow speeds and glowing red is normal so it may be nothing to worry about....................................

...but at full throtle, shouldn't the last coil be bypassed and get full battery voltage straight thru to the motor, bypassing all the coils ?? Thats how my VGlide with 5 resistors and 1 solenoid is wired.
just trying to help

I with OX on this.... maybe WOT is not working and he is stuck in whatever speed that last resistor coil is .... Because if the peddle is to the floor then no coil should be wasting amps ( glowing red)

The solenoid closest to the driver side is the master it clicks first.... the solenoid furthest from the driver side is WOT. Notice 5 solenoids ..... 1 master.....3 resistor coils.... one solenoid connects direct to the motor. NO?

Did you find the diagrams in the stickies?

well hes saying while going uphill which even thought might be WOT its still working like heck and not getting full speed thats what i,m thinking.....now on flatland i agree should just bypass it but going uphill is a little different.......just tossing it out there because if there was a problem it should aldso show up on flatland right? thats why it takes all of us great minds here.....................................lol...... ..........your furthest right resistor coil is the one........are you sure all coils are clean and tight and not touching each other anywhere?......................................... .....
