Thanks for all the info , stud still spun with the power brake method ..but the nut splitter gave me an idea .. I went and found a right angle attachment for my dremel & was able to cut a slot on each side of the lug nut, then took a chisel & hammer to split the nut.. Both are off now I just need to replace the studs.. Again thanks for the help..

Glad you solved the problem. When you dont have a air chisel I always used a long chisel and a 4 pound hammer and split the nuts enough to free the threads.

I have found that at some larger auto and truck parts stores you can get a larger knurled stud but with the same 1/2" threads. Some times I have been lucky enough to be able to press them right in without having to drill hole larger. BE VERY CARFUL because I have split out a hub before by doing that? Some times by giving the stud a little extra hard swedging I can use a ( stock stud )? It all depends on how bad the hole is torn up by spinning and or being left loose.
You may have to cut off some of the extra length and or use it to widden your tread width with some washer type spacers and a extra thin locking nut and thread lock. I have done this before but will not recommend much more length as it puts extra strain on bearings and hub and spindle.
