Default Newbie needs help w1996 48v CC

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and need some help. I bought a 1996 Club Car for my father to get around his community. I was told the batteries (Trojen T185) had been replaced in 2005. Well the batteries are going quickly. I can get about 15 - 20 minutes on them. I am looking at buying a set of Crown CR-190 batteries. I chose them because I can get them for 98 bucks each.

Another issue I have is that where my father lives, there are many steep
hills. I would like to juice it up a bit but don't know where to start. I am on a budget(as everyone is these days) but don't want to put crap in it.

The last thing is that the accessories run off two batteries to a reducer. When going up hill I find that the radio will cut out or the lights dim. I know some of this is from the batteries needing to be replaced, but I'm thinking of adding a seperate 12v battery just for the accessories.

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
CLUBCAR96

Get the new batteries. Follow proper breakin routine and when they reach full potential all the problems you describe should go away..... it will always slow down a bit on a hill but it will get him up it
Any performance upgrade will be expensive.

Use a extra 12 volt battery to run the accessorys in the cart. The problem with running off two of your pack batterys is causing an unbalanced problem where 2 batterys stay lower than others.
I use a UB 12350 handicapped scooter battery that is small and can be mounted anywhere because its a sealed battery. For a long time I just put it in my glove compartment on my Club Car before I made a mount over my front suspension.
