Default Club Car 2006 - Reverse Buzzer Location

Where is the reverse buzzer located on a 2006 Electric Club Car?

I have searched through the various Club Car discussions, but could not find an answer to my question.

It is so loud that it's hard to locate, and besides half of the members at our course are about to push me, my cart, and the reverse buzzer in the lake. I thougt it was near the "Forward / Reverse" switch but could not locate it. Then I thought it was near the ignition switch, but could not locate it. I thought I was half way handy, but now I'm starting to wonder.

Even if I could just quiet it down a little it would help. I am aware that it's probably illegal to disconnect it, and I don't want to get 20 years for NWDGC (Negligence While Driving Golf Cart).

Thanks for your consideration.

Its behind the dash, no matter if its a 2006 DS or Precedent. A small piece of tape on the buzzer should help you.

Pulled a wire off mine today (accident?) this is a 2001 Clubcar

Its the smaller round object with two connections on back.....However, I do not condone disconnecting this SAFETY feature

Just in case since both have 2 connectors and I'm sure VW was referring to 2 wires...

The buzzer is the one with its top side up and only 2 RED wires on it. The other of course is the key switch.

If yours is a Precedent I do have some pictures as well to help.

Thank you..

Under the dash it is! A little difficult to get at, but the deed is done. I was going to disconnect it, but the wife was concerned about all sorts of things including agressive attorneys and stupid husbands backing out of the garage accidentally with the door down (hey, I did it with the car).

So a little electrical tape, and it cut back the buzzer to 1/10 the db level. It can still be heard close up, but it won't scare the guy teeing off two holes ahead. Besides when I sneak up to the club for a beer the bride won't hear me backing out of the garage. LOL

Welcome to BGW redtape!

I see your wife is a smart woman! (probably born and raised in Wisconsin!)

There was a discussion a little while back about disconnecting the reverse buzzer...

I (personally) have a problem with disconnecting the reverse buzzer all together,
but, people do what they have to do!

Glad you got it worked out!
