Noisey rear 02 Club Car 48 volt
I have a 02 club car ds. When you go slow the rear rattles real bad, fast seems ok. I bought this car like this. I changed the bearing in the motor still no good. When I jack up the rear and accelerate I can stop either wheel by hand, Is that normal? Can anyone help me with this.
Thanks |

Re: Noisey rear 02 Club Car 48 volt
A bought one of those bumpers, mine did not have one, the bumper is only listed up to 1999, my cart is 2002. I still installed the bumper and no difference. Unless there is a different one for the 2002, does anyone know?

Re: Noisey rear 02 Club Car 48 volt
The sound you hear is a rattle like a piece of metal vibrating against another, or is it like a vibration caused by wobbling? Check your shocks and springs in rear for worn out bushings or shocks themselves could make a rattle if worn out and dry inside. If in doubt unhook shocks at bottom and tie them back so they cant hit anything and road test for results.
Being able to stop a wheel rear wheel while in motion is normal as that is what a differential is for to turn whichever wheel is needed in turns etc. |

Re: Noisey rear 02 Club Car 48 volt Fixed Today
I fixed the problem today. The 2002 has a rubber bumper that goes into the female end of the motor shaft, also they have a spring kit to install on the shaft, total cost was under $14.00 from Club Car, Cart works great now very quiet. Thanks for everyone`s help. If anyone needs the part # for the kit I have it . Thanks Again
