2005 Precedent issues...
I am working on a Precedent, I believe it is an 04-05. It will act as if it wants to run but dies within feet. When I removed all connections to check for corrosion, and put it back together it ran great for about 20 minutes. Then back to the same problem again. The solenoide engages it just doesn't want to move...it will at time act like it is going to move but then just dies instantly. My guess at this point is the controller, but I have read a few posts about an MCOR and I am wondering if this could be the culprit. Is there anyway to determine definitively if it is the controller or the MCOR or ....I guess anything else I haven't thought of? Any help would be great.

Re: 2005 Precedent issues...
It appears that there was a loose connection on the ground wire going to the solenoide....it was attached but loose enough to cause an arc....that's enough to shut the computer off I guess. crimped it down tighter and put it back on....no problems since.
Anyone have problems with the factory provided accessorie (blue wire) running off one battery. I used it as per the directions to install the lights and horn and such....it has subsiquently been dragging that one battery down significantly compared to the others...... what should I do to remedy this. Anything onboard? or do I have to get a power reducer? |
