GMorrison--absolutely not aimed at you at all..actually not aimed at any individual at all..I enjoyed your input and it actually made me go back and actually look and understand and triple check everything--hopefully you didn't get the wrong message

I've got a couple sympathy cards at the ready in case of failure... lol
The lift and tires will be installed this weekend and then the road test will determine next step. If it just lugs up the short hills out of the tunnels, and is OK on the flats, I will do the boost battery. If it just in general "sucks" and the setup cant handle it, I have already been in contact with PlumQuick. I had to order another Precedent motor for a different cart and also talked "in length" about my cart and some possibilities they would help me out with. Awesome group of guys !!!

What was the outcome? What is the part number of the 6 post high current solenoid/contactor that was used. I added a high current contactor to bypass/parallel all the components so that 36v is connected directly to the A2 terminal, bypassing the FNR, the speed controller and solenoid. It is activated by a momentary pushbutton switch and only when the go pedal is in the #3 post on the controller (resistor controller). I will add the boost battery when I find the solenoid you mentioned in the above discussions. Can someone direct me to a vendor for that solenoid? Thank you for your help.

Question Re: Will this 12V boost theory work

Has anyone done this mod successfully and kept the cart safe for continuous daily driving?

I think he wired it wrong, but he managed to hit 88mph, and it sent him back to the future...

Or it exploded and vaporized him instantly. :)

I believe neither of the above took place... actually he turned into a human lawn tractor (slash/) power washer and beautifies the Villages in Florida... at an unbelievable incredible lightning speed I might add

Wow who dug this old thread out of the trash heap?!?! Put it back...thats where it belongs
Never tried it, had all the parts lined up thanks to DirtySouth and Callen9(if they still exist) but never actually sat and wired it all up. I went the safe route with a PQ motor and controller setup and was able to drive around without the fire suit on. But I strongly suggest someone try it out, why not
