Voltage Reducer / Relay Questions
Im installing my reducer (glove box) along with a ground distribution block and a 1in/6out fuse block to run all accessories off
I have run my main lines from battery pack (48v) in the glove box as well and have stopped shy of hooking the relay and reducer up until I get some clarity: I was planning on installing the relay on the input side of the reducer to not have power constantly applied; Second, I was planning on activating the relay via the key switch. All this and the plan I think is solid except: 1) The relay I have is a 12v/40A; The Key voltage is 48v Do I need to find a relay that is rated for the 48v+ of the battery pack, or is there SOME 12v at dash I dont know about???? OR, can this small relay handle a 48V load???????? This is a small ~1.5" cube relay, 40A |
