48v Powerdrive LVS Bypass ?
After bypassing the Low voltage sensor the breaker still kicks out. What else can be tried. There is a possibility that lightening may have damaged the charger but nothing visable inside the charger.

Quote:
You can bypass the circuit breaker by using a 15 amp fuse on the leads and when you bypass the relay the charger should come on. If it blows the 15 amp fuse you installed then more than likely you have a bad transformer. The rectifier if defective would give very low amperage but shouldn't kick out the AC breaker so that shouldn't be a cause either. |

Re: 48v Powerdrive LVS Bypass ?
All I had was a 20amp and it blew that so I guess I may need a new charger. Is there a way to fix this one?

All I can tell you is what I was told when that happens... the best thing to do is buy a charger as opposed to trying to repair it with a new transformer. If it was a different part then different story. Shop around for, a transformer, a good used charger or a new one and weigh all options.

Re: 48v Powerdrive LVS Bypass ?
My CC dealer here in Apex NC repairs chargers, new ones are generally $300 +dollers.
Check with you local CC dealer he will also test it for Free or almost Free. |
