He may have taken it out for another reason, but not needed on motor upgrade as far as I know, or heard of.

Also check with site sponsors for one, or ebay dealers for one.

Ok, thanks. I am kinda jumping the gun, but I also read somewhere about something you can add to the charger that makes it shut off automatically and eliminates the need for the OBC. I think it said that you just leave everything wired up like it is and put this thing in the charger. Maybe i remember correctly????

You've done good on retention of facts from BGW posts. The OBC has nothing to do with changing out a motor. If that person was saying he replaced his Controller, then that is a different situation.

Depending on the price of an new OBC, you might want to get an aftermarket micro processor charger instead and jump just 1 wire on the cart receptacle, ((-) lead,) to the last negative battery post.

Thank y'all so much. That isn't too bad if i do have to have one. I figured they would be a lot more than that. I am going to go check it this afternoon and find out if i need one or not. I will let you know.
