Smile Battery Life Saver

Hi Guys
I'm a new kid on the block and need to ask a question.
Has anyone used or had experience with the product BATTERY LIFE SAVER?
My 02 v-glide 36v batteries are getting a little weak, and dont want to
drop $470 at this time. wonder if the Saver is what it says it is and does?
Thanks
Lee

Is this one of those electronic desulfators?

I have used a product called Battery Eqauliser made by or for minkota. I can say that it does work for what it's desgned to do. I put some of this stuff in a completey dead battery that the plates were sulphated so bad the plates were grown together. That same battery has been on my powerstroke deisel truck for the last several months. It should give another year or 2 of life out of the battery. I wouldn't put the stuff in a new battery but if I were strapped for cash I would put it in an old battery.

There is an industry update on Golf Car Advisor about a similar product. RE-NEW BATTERIES, INC. EXTENDS THE LIFE OF GOLF CAR BATTERIES

No this is one of the electronic gizmos that is listed on the same advisor
link page that you gave me. It sends various square wave frequencies
to the cells and supposedly breaks down and gets rid of the crystals
built up in your batteries. Who handles the RE-NEW stuff? I see the report
and website but no place to order or pricing.

Minn-kota makes the battery equaliser. I found it at Bass-pro shop I think. I think wal-mart carries the same stuff I'm not sure. The key ingrediant is Cadmium Sulphate. Both Cadmium sulphate and the electronic desulphator "supposedly" do the same thing....break down sulphides on the battery plates.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will do more research now. The battery equilizer
is $12.95 for a six ounce bottle, and at 2oz per cell would treat one battery.
So 6 times (6x6 volts) $12.95 = $77.70 plus tax = $82.36.........................
The battery life saver runs $94.95 plus free shipping and no tax.
desisions, desisions, whats a mother to do? Electronic or chemical?
p.s. if the battery cells are full of water, where does the extra 2 oz per cell
go?

Have seen the battery renewer on eBay for much cheaper. Feedback mixed, some say it helped, others say no luck!

Depending on the condition of you batteries, outside of a shorted plate
this stuff is only a temp. fix. From my point of view and usage, apply the cost
of the snake oil towards new batteries!
