Default Batteries,Charging, and Motor Driving

Hey guys,

Well im new to the golf cart community and most likely will sound like a total n00b but please bear with me as i plan on learning as much as i can about these systems and i have some issues that came up was wondering if the community here can give me some feedback.. the issues i am encountering are the following. From what i know it is a club car and runs a 48V system

#1. - Batteries - i looked into the battery compartment and i see that the batteries are like swollen.. i read on the batteries that they were manufactured in like Aug. 2004, it says on the battery E-4800 i have 6 of them...

#2. - Charging - When i plug in the charger i hear the charger start up and it sounds like its charging but if i come back in about 2 hours its not charging anymore i need to unplug and re connect it for it to start again.. it does this like every 2-3 hours or so.. also if you listen closely i hear like if there is water boiling in the batteries i dont know if this is normal.

#3. - Motor - As i start to move the cart forward it like shakes the whole cart and struggles and i cant floor it all the way because if i do i wont move anywhere. i need to start of slowly and once that happens i can then proceed to floor it but you still feel the motor like shake almost if it is out of battery but its not cuz i charged it for like a day and a half. Also while driving you also hear like a really loud whining, or whizzing (dont know if thats a word)..

if you guys can please steer me in the right direction so that i may be able to work on this cart and get it function-able i would greatly appreciate. once again im sorry if i sound like a total n00b, i dont like to sound like one but im in the dark here i have looked allover online.. thanks again..

also do you guys think that i can get the internal components and put it on the go kart frame?? if its even possible?? it has no gas engine that why i ask..

Get you a digital Volt meter if you dont have and a good battery Hydrometer.
Read Voltages on each Battery and then entire pack and post.
Use Hydrometer to check each cell to see if the batteries are still good, and post !
