1994 Club Car Won't Budge
Hi everyone-I was hoping somebody can give some advice on how to fix my cart.First things first,it's a 1994 club car #A9420-379182.The batteries are all new and charged, and i have also cleaned all of the battery connections, speed controller connections, solenoid connections as well as the resistor coil connects and a new forward reverse switch.Still nothing. The rear wheels will spin when i jump the solenoid and will go faster when i press the gas pedal-i kind of figured it might be the solenoid so i replaced it with one from a similar parts cart i had but its still doing the same thing unless i jump it out.Should i go and buy a new solenoid or is there something that i'm missing?any help would be greatly appreciated

Can you tell us what went on up to the point it stopped running? Somebody work on it, mud hole, bumpy road?
More than likely you have a electrical issue feeding the solenoid, find the correct wiring diagram above and trace the low side of the solenoid circuit, it runs through the pedal micro. Save ya the trip........... http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-diagrams.html |

Re: 1994 Club Car Won't Budge
thanks for the reply crash.well, the golf cart came from my work(they were throwing them away in a 40 yard dumpster-they got rid of 30 or so and bought a whole new fleet of em-i grabbed 2 and both ran)the problem is they sat for a year or maybe a little longer and the wires corrorded a bit so i went through everything, even changed the ends on the wires for the micro switch in the speed controller box.maybe i should check the switches with a ohmmeter-ill post my results when i get home from work, thanks

Re: 1994 Club Car Won't Budge
still going through the wiring, looks like some stuff isnt right.the wiring diagrams are helpful but i think i need one that has the color codes and shows exactly where the wires are supposed to go.seems like the other carts diagrams are pretty specific except for the one for my cart(figures).my problem(i think)is the wiring for the mini switch on the v glide(where exactly do they go on the fnr switch?)and the wiring for the mini switch thats mounted on the fnr switch itself.any suggestions anybody?

Can't believe they are throwing away carts in S Lyon, and no one told me. Not far from me either. Anyone have a similar cart you can look at up there?

The Carts Come From Sterling Heights-the Company Uses Them For The Big Wigs And Foremans To Cruise Around The Auto Plants Where We Put Presses In-when They Get A Little Beat Up Or Old They Throw Em Out-i Couldnt Believe It Myself When I Heard It!the Only Reason I Got The Two I Have Is Because My Old Man Is In Good With The Mechanics And They Let Him Grab A Couple Before They Hit The Boneyard.they Are Far From New But I Really Want To Get Em Going Again So I Can Take My Kids For A Ride-my 2 Year Old Son Climbs On The Cart Everyday And Grabs The Wheel And Makes Vroom Vroom Sounds So Im Pretty Motivated To Get This Thing Rolling-i Know His Smile Will Be About A Mile Wide When Its Done!as Far As Looking At Other Carts I Havent Had A Chance Yet.im Sure We Will Figure It Out Though.thanks For Everybodys Help,we Do Appreciate It!

I remember outside contractors bringing in carts for there foreman, i worked in a plastics plant, injection molding. A lot of Taylor Dunns hit the dumpster when i worked there.

Re: 1994 Club Car Won't Budge
Are you ready to get this old cart running? IS it a resistor or controller cart? Think they made both in '94? Either way..... the activation for the solenoid comes from the key circuit. The solenoid will have a constant ground on 1 of the small terminals and a switched positive to the other small terminal. the switch is the micro switch at the F&R and it is fed from the key....This positive is probably not getting to the solenoid?
