Default charging issues 48 voltcc

ive done as much homewok as possible this week before asking stupid questions.. club car 1996 royal ride..48 volt system..brand new batteries..charger works on neighbors 48 volt club car but not mine..everything else operates fine. all batteries test at 8.3 volts, and system tests above 49 volts. how can i be sure that obc is problem before i buy new one? can i override obc with jumper wire??? if so which wires?? i am so close to figuring out im about to pull a hammer out. a big hammer! if i get to that point i promise ill take a picture!

thanx for any help!
gmave.

Have you tried resetting OBC Yet ?

OBC reset
1.Remove the positive and negative cables from the pack
2. Place the F/R switch in reverse
3. Slowly press the pedal down and hold it for a minute or so. Reverse buzzer should sound until all the power has dissipated from the OBC
4. Re-attach Battery Pack, try charging again !!

Morning Scottyb ;
is there more than one way to reset OBC , is it year/model dependent ?
On another subject how is the 03 IQ project going ?

resetting didnt work! i did a little more research on the charger and figured out how to jump over the relay. probly not smart but its working for now. the amp meter is still moving so ill monitor and try and decide when its charged. only problem is i dont have very good judgment....jumping the relay was a lucky guess which terminals !!!! thanks for the input!
