i would go ahead and bump up your controller.... and in the process would recommend doing wires...... 400 amp will make a big difference, but anything higher is never a bad thing... it all depends on what you want to spend...

If you get an alltrax programmable, you can download the program to make that controller perform exactly how you want it to..

i have had nothing but good luck with them and I've installed nearly 100... they are cheaper, and come with a better warranty than most other controllers...

I was extremely impressed with the Alltrax DCX500 500amp I put on a G8 one time. With that controller and a D&D motor, that cart would light the tires coming out of the garage and throw dirt back in when it got outside. Once it hit the dirt and could bite a little, it FLEW up into the 30 mph range. I had to upgrade it to 48V, but you already have that, BRS.

I am trying to figure out why it is taking so long for this motor to reach 21 MPH. Is it speed or torque oriented? If torque oriented it should not take long to accelerate and if it is speed oriented it should go faster.

So BRS when is this going to happen at Ft. Wilderness? I will be there for 5 days starting this weekend and this sounds like fun. My cart is a black 2000 DS 48V, 700 amp controller 5.5 HP motor with a front tag that says The Black Pearl. Mine should go around 25-30 but I think one of my brakes are dragging and slowing me down.

theres a place in california that sells a motor that will get you to 22 mph and it does it in a hurry........hit the gas it throws you back in the seat.........i have installed 2 of them this past summer and i have to say for 350.00 its impressive........that along with a complete set of either 4 or 2 gage cables......not just battery cables but all cables will put you right in the ball park with them and maybe a little ahead of them..........i can,t think of the name of the Co. but its posted on another site in the club car elec. forum a few times so you should be able to find it.............B.U. ...................................
