1995 no power Club car Carry All
Hi, i just purchased a 1995 Club Car Carryall D.O.A. at an auction. After putting 6 new 12volt batteries in it, it started to work! However, it does not seem to have a whole lot of power and the battery gauge flutters at the bottom with one bar going back and forth. Do you think that my batteries are connected properly? I have looked at different wiring diagrams but none of them are the exact set up as the batteries in my cart. I would appreciate any info. Jason

Re: 1995 no power Club car Carry All
Welcome to BGW, Jason.... Run out to the cart and disconnect the batteries. Read the rest of this when you come back Disconnected YET? Good! Your cart is a 95 Carryall 48 volt system. It takes six 8 volt batteries not six 12 volt batteries. That is 72 volts..... likely you melted something like a controller and or solenoid with the overvoltage

Re: 1995 no power Club car Carry All
Scotty, I appreciate the reply. I replaced the batteries with the proper 8 volt deep cycle ones. Now it seems like the cart has a mind of its own when it wants to go. Sometimes you step on the peddle and it works and sometimes it will just sits there. Does that sound like a controller or the solenoid to you?

I wouldn't be looking at the diagrams for "battery wiring"......look at everything else in the diagrams......those six 8V battereis can be turned around all over and still do the same thing......look at the controller connections.......and the v-glide wire colors.....etc....etc.....
And I'm with the others....We want pics!!!!.....*S* |

Re: 1995 no power Club car Carry All
I had a couple of 95s they had an MCOR throttle indicator .... and one of them acted that way. A new Mcor fixed it... Make sure your solenoid is not intermittent first.

How to I check if the solenoid is intermitten? I do know that the solenoid clicks once you hit the peddle in F or R. [

Re: 1995 no power Club car Carry All
Does it click when the cart won't go? Then it probably isn't the problem.... but check for 48v at both large terminals after the click with the peddle depressed and the key on just to be sure.... Of course do this only with the cart on jack stands
