Question follow the light

What does the amber/yellow light with the batt. -+ even do? I mean sometimes it's on sometimes it's off...I assumed it meant low charge...but mine comes on when I'm charging it. On and off, etc.....what gives?

it does more than just indicate low charge...

it also indicates the charging system was interrupted, or you unplugged it too early, or it can indicate your charger hit max timer....

the only time it means battery low is when it comes on and stays on...

what year is your car, and what year are your batteries?

Batts. are 05, but charge to 49v and run at about 45v. My cart is a 1995 CC DS 48V. New batts. are coming, lcd gauge shows status of batts., I don't let it drop below half on the meter.

the little yellow light confuses a bunch of people, its real intent was a messaging system to cart barn folks to let them know of potential problems... but mechanics or techs should also have the computer display module that can pretty much tell them what the light is saying....

LOL, after you get new batteries installed, make sure your car finishes charging.. give it 16 hours....

after that, the light should only come on when you unplug it before a charge is finished, or if it got interrupted the night before...

a general note is if its not coming on and staying on, dont worry too much..
