96 club car 48v problems
This is my first posting but I have been looking at prior posts but havent found my problem The cart runs good but every now and then the solenoid seems to drop out or disconnect It has a new solenoid and all the switches have been changed inc ign and f/r new speed sensor If it quits i turn the ign switch off and on again and the solenoid clicks in (double click ) and all is fine again Everytime I get out my meter it runs fine and cannot find any problems
Perplexing Thanks in advance for any help I am not around all the time so it may take me a day or two to answer |

Re: 96 club car 48v problems
I think the 96 was a single solenoid cart.... I might suspect a faulty ignition or micro switch... carry your meter with you, when the stopage occurs check the 2 small terminals on the solenoid one of them should be positive and the other negative to activate it... the key activates the F&R micro and it activates the micro in the V-glide on this circuit, ...............

Re: 96 club car 48v problems
Electric carts DO NOT HAVE FRAME GROUND unless something is WRONG. Digital meters will show a small amout to frame but its just from moisture etc.
Try moving your F& R switch back and forth some to see if that solves problem when cart shuts down without touching anything else. It could be one of your MICRO switches on F&R switch hanging up. If that doesnt help then you can check further. My 1996 had same problem until I changed micro. Worse case being that you have a loose connection which can be a pain to find? |
