Default AGM or Gel Batteries

Does anyone have experience with using AGM or Gel batteries in their electric cart?
I know that they are typically considerably more expensive, but I love the 'no maintenance', no acid spils, aspect, and I have 4 8D 200AH Gel batteries in my mororhome for ten years (I'm on my second set) These also weigh 200lbs each and are not golf cart batteries.
I know it takes a special charger and they are available.
Are Golf cart sizes available?
Anyone know of bargain prices on either?

The Stealth 4wd electric buggy xr model has AGM batteries and claims a 40 mile range. AGM batteries are great but too expensive for me. I hate corrosion too but not enough to shell out the price of AGM batteries.

I talked to the guy from Stealth and he assured me that it would go 35 miles under the worst conditions and even offered to let me demo one. I am sure it is a great buggy but when he told me the price ($13,000) I went with the Club Car.

Yeah, I know. And apparently you can buy the same 4wd kit from Imaginative Manufacturing with the motor for around $2k. I am saving my pennies.
