Default reviving 8vlt 4 year old exides?

is it worth the time/effort to try and revive batts this old, or spend the money on new ones? do any products (electrolyte) work? the batts have been sitting for a few years--most likely uncharged. i added distilled water and desulfated them with my charger but haven't yet tried to charge them.

as you can see by the lack of responses, this is a hard one to answer without some testing...BUT...if they were sitting for a few years uncharged...consider them no good..go buy new batteries and turn the old ones is for the core charges. Even if you revive them somehow, which I doubt you can...you will forever be plagued with battery problem after battery problem in the very near future. DONE!

Never say never.

Clean up Batteries and cables (distilled Water).
Take Voltage readings ( it needs 37 Volts to turn charger on)
Put charger on and let it charge completely (up to 16 hours)
30 minutes after charging take reading again.

Drive for 15 to 30 Minutes and repeat process several times.
If the Batteries are going to be any good they will gain a little each
time you charge for the first 6-10 times.

Rejuv will not bring a bad battery back, but may help Marginal Batteries

Forget the "SNAKE OILS OUT THERE" and replace before the bad batterys cause more costs because of replacing controller and motors etc.

all i'd really like to do is see if this cart works before i spend the money on new batteries. the batteries are out of the cart so i'm charging them individually at 2 amps with a 12 volt charger for about an hour/1.5 hrs. how many volts do i need in each bat. before i can put them back in the cart and charge them with the 48 volt charger?

Go with the Morrison outline. But you might as well expect a short lifespan on the battery pac.
