Question 3 solenoids??!!

New to me: Buddy's cart is a pre-2000 DS CC 48v that had modifications to do 35mph. We only got it up to 28mph. After looking under the seat its got 3 solenoids! I've never seen that nor have I heard about it so I thought it was interesting. Anyone seen 3 solenoids hooked up in the same cart?
(I know someone is gonna want pics)

Ah, funny you should ask, Ox! Just picked up the main gasket on my lunch break but they didn't have the axle tube gaskets in yet so I'll reuse the old ones since I'm tired of waiting. I'm putting it all together tonight at 8pm (what time you coming over?) and hopefully will have some gps readings by 10:30pm depending on how much beer is left in the fridge. As you know, rain may be a factor too...

I'll get pics of those 3 solenoids this week some time. Where did you map out this boost thing? Is it activated by a "Go Baby Go" button?

This was an idea I was trying to put together incase my cart couldnt handle the big 23" tires and lift I was installing. Well instead I purchased a new PLUM QUICK motor which gave me the ability to pull wheelies and get some nice top end without regearing.

WHat's that, wheelies? You should post a video and start a thread.

I dropped over 2.5 quarts of gear oil into my case last night. That took so darn long that I called it quits. Will try to put the rear end on tonight after I check for leaks .

Way too much, it only is supposed to have about 22 ozs. in it. Did you fill it in the cart, or on the bench with the plug facing up and axle standing on end? It is best to get filled in the cart, fill thru the fill plug which is the one in the side of the case, in the middle on the case, and fill it untill it spills out. What you can do if overfilled is, install the axle, remove the fill plug with a catch pan underneath, and when the extra oil stops running out, thats the level it should be at...called "fill to spill" method.

EXTRACTOR--What is the exact year cart to start with, you may be looking at a 199? or 2000? Need to know more because you are covering so many manufacturers major changes in controls etc? He may have a stock cart with a regular solenoid and it could be a IQ which adds another solenoid? The cart may have been changed over to use 2 solenoid to give F&R with a three position switch? Or it could be a cart converted with a 2 speed motor which requires an extra solenoid?
MORE INFO PLEASE.

$@&%! Yup, I filled it on the bench top but the axle was not standing on end. Just attached to the case laying across and the drain plug facing straight up. It's the only fill plug I noticed, and it still faces up when installed. Just put the rear end in last night. You sure there's more than one plug?

Its hard to read but the upper plug with the arrow is the fill plug you want:th**bup:

The part on top of the case is just a breather for the case.
