Default V-Glide doesn't glide - 1992 36v

I was driving my 1992 36v Club Car a few days ago and had to stop on a hill. When I started again I noticed that the wiper arm was not moving smoothly between the contacts in v-glide box. On visual inspection, nothing appears to be damaged. When I push the accelerator it feels similar to locking the brake. (i.e. I can feel and hear the wiper arm move from one contact to the next.)

The golf cart seems to be operating as normal except for that.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you think it would go from a completely smooth pedal to a rough one in a matter of seconds? It moves roughly between each of the contacts equally.

It does look like the contacts need to be cleaned. I'll work on that this weekend.
