Default 86 electric club car wont move

Just purchased electric club car. THought it would be a easy fix but alas. Changed out batteries. All show at least 6 volts. Had them checked and charged. Motor wont turn. Solenoid group makes noise. f-r limit switch and buzzer is disconnected. I jumped it back and something must be be bad because then the noize goes away. f-r switch wiring seems to have been disconnected a long time ago.
Using a wiring diagram from a 85 model, as I cant find 86. Found one wire on motor in wrong order. Switched, no help. wire comes from battery to 2nd pole on rear of motor. Other wire now goes from back terminal to front and rear switch that changes the drive direction.
Wire from the f-r switch goes to the number 2 batt not no 4 like diagram says. Switched and no help. Put back like it was originally.
Can anyone help? No history prior to me getting car as it was donated.

Unhappy Re: 86 electric club car wont move

So far no luck. I think I have the cables all routed correctly. I am not getting 36 volts at the master solenoid. Is there another place to check this voltage?
If I jump the solenoid, how do I do this? Left post to another battery or a charger? OR my car?

86 is slightly complicated way of operating a simple system... A red flag went up when I read you changed a motor wire? double check That is very unlikely it was wrong unless somebody was messing with it and never did get it to run? Anyway there are 5 micro-switches in a box at the gas peddle linkage and they fire the 5 solenoids. Solenoid closest to the driver is the master. It fires first or non of the others work.

yeah, it threw a red flag up on me also. But the wires have tape on them where someone marked where they went. All the schematics I have looked at show the wires in the different order. I have swapped back and forth and no luck. It feels like the solenoid is working but just clicking.
I measure the voltage on the two big wires on side of fnr switch and show almost 19 volts. One of the wires is connected to the #4 battery and the other to the #1 battery, like the schematic says. WOuld this make a difference if wrong?
The switches on the gas pedal work as I can hear them send the power to the solenoids.
Next step is to find a solenoid.

If the Cables are marked with tape then it's possible someone screwed up..... Just to be sure get to where you can read the motor terminal id that is stamped in the case and compare that to a diagram...S2, S2, (same as F1, F2)
and A1, A2. Just to be sure ...
Also a good solid click is an indicator of a working micro or solenoid but it is no guarrantee that it is making contact or that the wires connected to it are good.
Of the 5 solenoids the solenoid closest the driver's side is the master. It has to close (activate) first to put power to the rest of the soleniods......

Sad to say I had to go to work and wont be able to work on it until this weekend. I did however find out that I do have 37+ volts across the batteries. I just have to find out where it went. A lot of the connections look corroded. Hopefully soon I will be cruisn the hood.
I will let you know how it goes.

Okay, Hereis what i have. Got the 36 volts across the solenoids. #4 solenoid is bad. no voltage crosses thru. The first solenoid gets voltage as soon as you press the pedal.
Got 37.1 volts at motor on terminals s2 & a2. Shite and black wires. The two posts in middle of motor. No go on cart. Is the motor bad? How do I test motor? Can brushes be replaced? If motor bad should I upgrade?

THese motor almost NEVER go bad...... here is a simple test you do... Have you got the cart on jacks? ...and when you press the gas down how many clicks do you hear. Do this on jacks only ! Check the coils for a break in one?

How many clicks ? 5?

yes got 5
Tested motor with jumper cables as I have no boost charger. Connected cables to positive on one battery and negative to 3rd battery over as in a series like they are hooked up in cart. No go on motor.
Last terminal on motor feels like it is loose inside. What happens when I pull cover on motor off? will brushes fall apart on me or is there keepers on brushes.
