Default what not to do

So, here is the story. Wife and kids leave town for the week to got to the beach where I will meet up with them at the end of the week. My wife keeps telling me before she leaves to behave and stay out of trouble, at which I keep telling her that I will and to not worry.

A few minutes after she leaves I am talking to the neighbors (Ox being one) and we decide to go for a little ride in my cart around the back of the neighborhood, we go for a little ride and return no big thrills.

I get the idea that I want to go for a ride in the new phase next to us where there are mostly empty streets to get some GPS readings on the speed of my cart, no harm right! I am cruising and getting some good readings and then I decide to go down the one long straight away. I start at the one end of the road and head down moving along real good (GPS read 28.1 as the high speed). At the end of the street the asphalt stops and the road turns into dirt with some rock mixed in and there is a little rut from where the rain that we have had over the last couple of days has washed out the road. I am moving along at 28 mph when I hit the dirt road and apply the brakes which lock up and then the driver side tires hit the rut which spins the cart and then flips the cart over onto the driver side and the top digs in and starts to roll, but doesn't go all the way over. So OX and my other neighbor are right there and turn the cart back up. We then pick up all of the junk that had spilled out of the cart and look it over to make sure that I can drive it back to the house. This is where we realize that the cart only has one speed which is WOT and we get back to the house to start repairs, which we now have done except for the new roof that I will have to add.

I am fine with no injuries, but I am also very luck and could have been seriously injured. I have learned that I need to be careful and am posting this with the pictures of the cart to tell what can happen when you least expect it.

The carts are a lot of fun, but don't forget that they can be dangerous.

I can hear it now... gonna go something like this:

Butter: Um Honey... I've got some good news and some bad news...

Wife: OK, whats the good news?

Butter: I'm fine, just some scrapes, nothing serious.

Wife: And the bad news?

Butter: I flipped over the cart and bent the heck out of the top and supports.

Wife: Then the bad news for you is gonna be serious because when I get home you're gonna be hurt en all over when I get through with you....
