Cart is Possessed
As suggested by a few members on a previous post I put a new set of batteries in my 1991 Club Car V-glide 36 volt cart. All was good for a few weeks. Now it goes whether the key is on or off even when I disconnect a wire from the ignition switch. If I don't disconnect the wire from the battery(both red and green 1 is not enough)it will run and it will kill the batteries which will barely have enough juice to start the charger.
I had a friend who is an electrician check it out. V-glide was just replaced so we checked that. Checked micro switches were working and cables good. I lean toward either replacing the solenoid and the ignition switch. Any thoughts. You guys helped last time! |

Re: Cart is Possessed
your solenoid is stuck in the "on" position. since removing the activation wires didnt help, it sounds as if it has gotten stuck(arc welded) in the closed(on) position. get another one---consider spending a few extra dollars and getting a heavy duty on. Look up "white rodgers" solenoids--im pretty sure they mak a 36V HD solenoid.

Re: Cart is Possessed
also, if its moving even when not stepping on the Vglide, you may want to check the adjustment of the VGlide. the rod from pedal to VGlide is adjustable.
