Re: battery boiling
As long as the charger is shutting off and not continuously charging you are fine. The batteries will boil when charging.

Re: battery boiling
They will percolate, not really boil. If they are boiling with battery acid coming out of the top then you have an issue. As Butterface stated, this is normal.

Re: battery boiling
When was the last time you check the water level in the batteries?? You should have enough "water" in there to cover the plates. If you need to add water, only add distilled water.

Re: battery boiling
Good rule of thumb (why you should leave go for full 16 hrs) 8 hrs charge, 8 hrs of cool down. This helps the batteries to give you maximum life. Golf Courses don't care because their money is made on use of carts.

Hey gpetruska77,
New Port Richey used to have a saying... Home of the Newly Wed or Newly Dead! Have things changed around there, more businesses, restaurants, night life? Is Louie Pappas's still in Tarpon Springs? Loved that place! Great Prime Rib and Greek Salad! Also my batteries always make that perk sound when charging but again, no water spilling out from the tops! |
