Default Throttle Pedal Sticking 99 club car

I have a 99 electric Club Car that has been lifted 6" and has 23" tires on it. I recently changed the v-glide switch. Every since I put the new v-glide switch on it, the throttle is sticking.......and the gas pedal stays down! When it sticks which is completely random, you have to turn the key off or switch to neutral to be able to stop. Does anyone have experience with this problem? I have checked out the pedal without the cart on and it seems to be fine.

If you still have the V-glide in the cart it could be arcing and sticking. Take the assembly apart and clean up the contacts. There is a thread by oxfordlawn called "smoked v-glide" where he posted some pics of his repair after burning up the assembly.

Check the wires going to the microswitch inside the V-glide to see if they are getting caught up in or binding the wiper arm ... It may have something to do with what you did ..... so take a look and see
