Default jschaeffer

I am a new owner of an older used Club Car, A9625-504856.
The Power Drive charger that came with had a bad transformer. I purchased a 48v, 25 a charger but it did not have a DC cord attached. I installed the 3 wire cord to the new 2 wire charger and capped the blue, communications, wire. What can i do to the Club Car to allow the new charger to work without causing damage?
I would appreciate any detailed assistance here.

I assume your cart is a resistor style cart, and your Charger requires an on board computer to turn on and off the charger. I had the same problem and your best option is to purchase a charger that has an OBC built in for around $300. I hope this answered your question, a little more info might help us.

AD I think hes has a complete charger. Like a Lester, not a Powerdrive? Also '96 CC has OBC and works with CC charger only unless you can modify the cart

which means if it is a streight Lester charger it should be coming on if wired correctly ??
And the real ? is how to stop it from charging after it has charged the pack to MAX ?

Is this correct ?

I'm not sure you can do this.... the Lester 48v charger he has is a complete unit. It should be able to work just by disconnecting the fuse at the charger receptacle .... however, I do not know if the cart will function without the fuse? Just never tried it .... also the charger plug end is probably going to need to be changed .... He may be better off selling this one and finding the Powerdrive48 that goes to this cart

Thinking a new transformer for his old charger is less than $150.
