'92 CC will move in reverse, but, no forward...
This happened yesterday over some rough terrain... (not THAT rough). I had to drive it home in reverse. When in forward the solenoid made a pretty bad noise...sort of a fast alternator clicking type sound.
Today I replaced the solenoid and the micro-switch...nothing. Same as yesterday. There is no juice at all in forward. REverse seems weak. Batteries are (were anyway) in good shape and could drive it several days on a charge. Thanks in advance for any help!!! I've checked all the wires I can see and can't find anything. Any ideas??? |

Sounds like clicking from a low amperage result of a bad connection...... Check cables and F&R contacts

Re: '92 CC will move in reverse, but, no forward...
is there any way to tell if the F/R contacts are working? I believe it's a connection problem, but, some of the old (little) wires are tough to see. Don't really know what to do at this point.

fortunately I was wearing glasses and I'm OK. JUst wild. I was pressing the accelerator just a little and trying to find the loose wire...BOOM!! Blew the top right off the battery.
Any good ideas now? Anyone ever heard of that? |

Yes bad battery, had a friend who's dad this happened to. He had a dog by his side till he died. There was probablly an open in the plates, arched, and boom. I wear a full face sheild when working on batteries.
