Default Grounding Problem

On a 1999, 48 volt club car, it reads 37 volts to chassis with the ground cable removed??

Make sure you aren't standing in water when you disconnect the Pos. cable ASAP There should be NO voltage to the frame as it is not to be used for a ground. Check your wiring for a short to the frame somewhere or worse yet that someone went to the frame for a ground on something. What is year, etc?

Clean all the crap off the tops/sides of your batteries if you have any. The controller's Caps can hold a charge too. You shouldn't have anything at all running through your frame and NEVER ground to frame on an electric cart.

It is a 1999. Batteries are like new and very clean. Cart is now in shop, and technician is checking with Club Car Co. to see what their solution is.

Boy I really hate it when someone ask me to think of a answer to a problem.
I get my mind all cranked up, try to get my memory started, get the old logic bank
booted , then they say !
I took it to the repair shop

Post results from the Repair here it may help the next person !
