New to Club Car...ID size, model, etc.
I have a club car with the following serial #: T9718 which I have read is a 1997 Touring model (it's a 4 passenger version). I'm wanting to do some upgrades, but need to know if this is a 36v or 48v (it has 6 batteries)...also if there is anything special I need to know before ordering any electrical or mechanical parts. Any help is appreciated.

Re: New to Club Car...ID size, model, etc.
Thanks for the help. Any special info I need to know, e.g. special electrical components, speed controller type, etc, etc....?
I plan to do a lift kit and wheels, but also looking into some speed mods, like a motor / controller upgrade...not for any racing, but more for a little better speed. I will be running mostly on roads, but also take it off road in the scrub brush of central Florida. May even use to pull some things, so torque / speed balance may be a consideration... Thanks for the insight. |

The forward/reverse lever is on the wall just under my legs. Move left for one direct, right for the other.

Re: New to Club Car...ID size, model, etc.
Also look at the battery tops and count holes 3 holes = 6v 4 holes for an 8v if you have unicaps remove one to count the holes. If you have 6v batteries the system is 36 volts, 8v batts = 48v system...... If you have the lever F&R then it is a series cart here is all the info you may need
