Or sell your old 36 Volt for $1500, buy a 48 Volt DS for $2100 = +600.
Upgrade cables Cables, Solenoid and controller +700

Total upgrade = $1300, plus you are driving 48 Volt cart while upgrading

Just a thought !

It is a Tennessee cart. However, as I am new to this and apparently have a lot to learn, I found out last night that my cart is not an '01 as was represented, but a '91 "G" serial number cart. The good news is that it has a controller in it now so I just need to buy a better controller, 8v batteries, a new solenoid and a 48v charger right?

I did not know Club Cart made a cart which started with G

If you look at the pic of the serial # plate in the other tread it does not look like it was stamped like the others, looks hand carved to me. I believe there is another plate behind the keyswitch panel, but disconnect the batteries before you remove this
