Default 92 36v Club Cart will not go foward

I have an old cart that has been sitting in the woods for some time. To start with, 2 batteries are weak but the cart will go in reverse but not fast. However, will not go foward for nothing. I can hear the solenoid click but nothing else will happen. Do I possibly have a bad foward/reverse switch ?or what is something else that I can check? Thanks in advance.

I dunno, try slamming and wiggling and pulling on the F&R lever... maybe a bad connection?

Racenut,

First of all WELCOME to the forum

Your cart most likely has a dead battery pack. When you put the F/R switch in forward and step on the pedal, 36V is needed to move forward. In reverse, only 18V is used. This is a safety measure on these old carts to keep you from running over or hitting something in reverse

Take a voltage reading of the entire battery pack. Also take individual voltage readings of each battery. There are 'stickies' at the top of the forum page to guide you.

Post your voltages and the gurus will help
