bypass of obc
I have seen several posts suggesting to ground the yellow wire connector
from the power source (yellow wire) at solenoid, to ground connection at # 6 battery ground in order to by-pass obc for test purpose. My question-why would you ground what is suppose to be a 48 volt connection for the solenoid ? How will this by-pass the obc and not create more electrical grimlins????? Plug in the charger if it comes on your OBC is most likely TOAST. Hope this helps  |

Scottyb-when does the 28 volt power come from for the yellow wire at
the solenoid (also connects to #3 post on control box)? I have replace 2 each switches at the forward/reverse control,charged batteries & checked for full voltage & tested the specific gravity for each individual cell.Also replaced the solenoid .I have inspected every available connection and checked with ohm meter for complete circuits. From what i have learned the obc is suspect--yet the only function it is used for is to charge batteries and montor other functions not related to starting.Any suggestions??? Thank You-Matt 1998-48volt club car with one solenoid. |

I dunno? Maybe someone with more late model CC experience can answer those questions for you? Is your F&R a lever or a toggle switch? Lever is a series cart, and Toggle is the IQ

DID I MISS SOMETHING?? ( 1989 Club Car with 48 volts?? ) Whole different ball game with change over from 36 volts to 48 volts?
