Re: what controller
Sounds like a POWER DRIVE PLUS cart and if so that what its supposed to do. Its adding power back into batterys while going down hill and that causes the motor to slow cart down to a safe speed. Do you have a rocker switch that controls F&R, if so thats what you have. If not you would have a lever by your right leg that controls F&R.

Re: what controller
If you have regenerative braking then you can disable it.

Re: what controller
By your post it sounds like you are getting a variable range of speed at different times, IS THIS CORRECT? Speed changes from fast to slow when pedal position is the same? If so you may have a bad pedal speed control? Which unit do you have, a black box under drivers floor, or a V glide ( pie shaped black box in battery compartment below drivers seat area ), or the updated black box under passenger floor? With that age of cart you could even have a Curtis PB-6 as a replacement or ?? that someone had installed?
To increase power ands torque look on Alltrax site as they have a post about increasing torque and how to arrive at it from a electrical standpoint. VERY GOOD INFO. |
