and xact1 how much speed do you get from your golf cart?
My stock speed was 14.1 mph at WOT. I don't know for sure what the new speed is since I have yet to put the GPS to it. It feels a little faster, but it definitely has more a lot more low end torque.

Good save scotty, I was about to say the same thing.
But I was going to ask him, what he was ultimately looking for the cart to do?
Bc if he wants something lifted it would be worthwhile if the cart is running now just to save up to do a motor, gear, controller, and battery upgrade to 48v.

but that is my 2cents

thanks for all the help guys..well my goal is to get the golf cart some torque before school starts for the kids(Peachtree City)...and i dont want to do any major upgrades..probly just 4 gauge wires and pb-6(hopefully that will give me more torque), if not i will have to upgrrade the motor.

A pb-6 is a potentiometer or POT for short. It is a type of throttle indicating device used in conjunction with a solid state speed controller..... You use one on a cart without using the controller also

Don't waste your time with a PB-6 if you are looking for more torque. It is a throttle box only, and provides a smoother feel to the throttle than the older V-glide systems.

This cart preceeds the v-glide models

Ok in the cart there are 5 solenoids and 2 coil resistors
the guy I bought it from said it was a 1990 cart. He painted over the serial number. Ok so if I don't upgrade to a pb-6, can I still put in 4 gauge welding cables?

YES. And the welding cable will help you in the future if you upgrade to a better motor controller etc.

How old are the batteries?
