Motor life should be fine at 72. I don't know if I would use a bypass on a cart that is gonna be used anywhere but on the strip. That could get ugly real fast. If you bypass the controller, it's all on, until you get off the bypass. If something were to weld shut, you would at very least waist a good pair of undies... Jus' Sayin'...

If you want something that is cheap power, safe for the golf corse, & fast for the drag strip. This is the way to go. D/S You dont bypass the controller untill you are at the strip. The rest of the time you are on stock 36 volts.
If your scread of the 36-volt bypass, you can make it as little as 12-volts.

The bypass lets you dubbable your voltage & still run a stock system. It keeps you from haveing to buy a 1,000.00 dollar -72-volt controller, a 500.00
Motor & a 72 volt solenoid.

Just be careful. I would say you got about 5 secs max with a setup like this before you melt something. It would not be a run around with 72 volts for an hour type thing.
