I was thinking the same thing:

Why could you not use a micro switch, like the ones the drag racers use for NOS? When the throttle is at WOT, the micro switch is engaged and automatically sends the additional 36 Volts directly to the motor.

When you 'lift' the micro switch disengages and the system reverts back to the original 36?

The drag racers, (and on my Cobra) use a micro switch that is throttle activated, to engage the NOS at WOT. Why won't the same principle work with the Nate Boost?

wouldn't you have to add some inline high volt/amp diodes in the cables between the controller(+) and motor, and then the extra batteries(+) and motor. If so, where do you get these big diodes?

i have done the "roady" or "nate" boost on my cart

before all the right parts

and i only boosted 12 volts

it ran 30 on the flat..but and a big BUT

you must have a BLOCKING DIODE that can handle the TOTAL voltage

so if you run 48 vlots, 52 fully charged

and boost another 48 volts, 52 fully charged

thats 104 volts total

so the diode's breakover voltage must be over 104 volts

and it must be able to handle the amps so go big!
