Default turn signals

I bought a turn signal kit for a 04 48v cc, but have not attempted to install it. I have been looking at the posts on here and this seems like it could be a nightmare job. I dont know much about wiring. Any reccomendations about whether to try this or pay somebody. I dont want to get into this and blow everything up...any advice?
