Your V Glide replacement wont be that hard to do, just take LOTS of pictures before starting that shows colors of wiring and where each on is mounted then mark with tape each wire with some kind of ID on ends so there can be no mistake and you will be fine. If in doubt make a drawing of all connections as a backup. As to breaking unit off when changing batterys its fairly common and in many cases was already cracked and you just finished it off or just moved it enough that you could see it was loose?
I liked Port Mansfield myself when I could still go fishing as it wouldnt be so crowded, and because I lived not too far away? Those days are over now because of my inablitity to walk and keep my balance in a boat anymore. OH WELL???
