The steps are usually made out of diamond plate aluminium 1/8 inch thick or more. The edges are bent down to form about a 1 inch lip which makes the step much stronger and rigid then the corners are welded. It bolts to the beack of the cart and to the safety bars that run down to it in the back. I'd guess the average person would have to buy a replacement or have a fab shop make you one. You'd need a metal brake capable to bending the aluminium and a high freq tig welder to weld it to make your own.

Thank you all for the value input, itís good to be part of a group that is willing to help.

The step is the only thing that I'm stumped on. I have an idea of how I want to fabricate on I just don't know if it will be strong enough. Can anyone take any pictures of how theirs is fastened from underneath or do the aftermarket ones provide instructions or diagrams that I could use?

Answer to part 4 of your question...It is not a factory ClubCar seat. It is an older Custom GolfCart Supply Seat. The footrest assembly is still available for it and should be easy to locate. If a local cart dealer can't get you one, let me know, I have an account with Custom and can get them for $50-$60. Email me if you need to bioniccartsandcustoms@yahoo.com

Forgot to mention....I think I have a pic of the same seat on one of my carts. It doesn't show the underside but it will give you an idea of how it looks. I will try and post a picture of the underside tomorrow.White CC rear seat.jpg
