Default Re: how do i check to see if i have a bad solenoid?

The tires are good, the brakes are smooth and have vertually no resistance without engaging them. I just took it out for a spin to remind myself of the problem and it starts quick, like a regular cart would, but shortly after that the cart slows down, and then it might speed up a little but then slow down again... So it anyone has a clue about what might be causing this, please dont be shy.

Reach up under the back of the cart and unhook the speed sensor on the motor...3 wire 3pin plug. Drive the cart with this unhooked and see if it makes a diff.
If not, it may be the speed sensor...
After installing some high speed IQ motors from EMP, we would drive the cart and it would take off strong and then at about 8-10mph it just quit pulling. This problem was usually a quick fix with a new speed sensor.
Again, just a thought......

Back at work after my 2 days off, had a great time, but here is the quick update, i unplugged the speed sensor and it was running pritty well with no real noticable problem, then i drove it to a hill that is about 100 feet high at about a 35 degree angle, once on the hill it shut off 2 times, as in didnt move at all(or so little it didnt feel like movement.) im not sure if i fixed one problem and ran into my next or if it is the same problem all over again.

any input?
