Default New to the forum need input from the Vets

Hello to all out there, I am new to BGW, I have a 1997 Club car, I have just purchased new batteries, it seems quick, but my sons 07 EZ-Go 36v keep outrunning me. Are there any quick and easy things to help me gain speed to beat his little butt?

Thanks

Some of the newer EzGo's even though they are 36v are faster than a stock 48v CC. They sometimes may have had the speed upgraded. I know that the stock controllers while non-programmable, can have speed and or torque settings changed by a simple plug-in adapter on the controller. Some of the more dis-honest cart shops call it a special "Speed Chip"....Charge $100 for the upgrade...Its an $18 part...see pic...chip.jpg
It is mearly a jumper wire. It will allow his cart to run 18mph and will disable motor braking.
Hope this helps......
Just install a high speed motor and "Blow by him at 25MPH"

If the EZGO has a plug for 18MPH you are going to finish last with out some mods. #4 wire, 400 controller and have the motor rebuilt or replaced should do the trick. Check with the sponsors for pricing. Don't get carried away because he will be here asking for upgrades to kick your butt next.
