What is the best brand Battery?
I have had alot of people tell me that the Trojan batteries are far superior to any other. I sthis true? I am considering Crown batteries. Are these any good? Also was told Interstate Workoholic batteries were fairly good. I would love some advice on which batteries are the best and is it worth $40 per battery from one to another?

Nothing wrong with the crowns or the interstate batteries. Keep them watered and charged they will work. I do what my wallet will allow.

all batteries seem to be born in missouri. battery life depends on who takes care of it. too many people think that if you install the best battery money can buy that batteries would last forever. no such thing as a maintenance free battery. some time you take it for granted but keep your batteries and cables clean and protected from corrosion.

Comparing batteries by brand name is a big guess. Check the specs on Trojan, etc. There has to be a reason that Trojans get the nod for lasting and durability. Good maintenance should be the norm for all brands and my vote still is for Trojan. You can either pay it now or pay it later.

Re: What is the best brand Battery?
If you look after them ANY battery can give a good long service life. Trojans just seem to last longer if the owner is not good on the service schedule. If the specs match up to Trojan, and you're good about maintenance, you can save some money on lesser brands. I got 7 years from a set of Crown batteries in my cart.
